Who runs LumiScrubs
I’m Saive. I started LumiScrubs because the scrubs my friends in dental and clinic teams were wearing fell into one of two bad buckets. On one end, $25 throwaway sets from uniform-store dumps — fine for two months, then thigh-pill, color fade, and pocket-rip. On the other end, $100+ FIGS or Jaanuu sets where the brand markup did not translate to a noticeably better build.
There is room in the middle for a brand that does the boring work: sizing right the first time, consistent color across reorders, embroidery that does not pucker, and replying within 12 hours when something is wrong. That is LumiScrubs.
How LumiScrubs gets its price
LumiScrubs is direct. I work with a multi-decade medical apparel manufacturer that also produces for several established global scrub brands. That relationship gets us the same fabric and construction inputs without the brand-markup layer most retail scrubs carry. The savings stay in the price — a comparable LumiScrubs set runs $70-95 instead of the $86-116 a FIGS set runs.
I do not advertise our production by name. Their other clients prefer it that way, and frankly so do I. Brand websites that hard-sell the factory tend to lose the buyer to the factory. The fabric is workwear-grade — a 72/21/7 polyester/rayon/spandex blend with four-way stretch and a water-repellent finish. That is what it is. If the construction fails in 365 days, we replace it.
We do not run flash sales. We do not post invented review counts. The unit math for a solo founder plus factory-direct supply chain has to work, and games on price would just turn us into another bargain-bin scrub brand in 24 months.
The SLA, in plain language
- 12-hour reply, Mon-Sat. From me (Saive), directly. Sunday messages start the clock Monday morning.
- 10-18 business days US delivery. Production takes 2-5 business days (embroidered orders add 5-7). SF Express International transit is 6-12 days, fully tracked. When US-side 3PL volume justifies it, this shortens and the SLA updates.
- 30-day free returns on blanks. First size exchange is on us. Refund posts within 48 hours of return arriving — we inspect after refund.
- 365-day quality guarantee. Seam splits, severe pilling, major fade, hardware failure: send a photo, I send a replacement within 2-5 business days. You do not need to ship the defective one back.
What is on the roadmap
Honest state in May 2026:
- 13 core SKUs are stable. Sizes XS-3XL women’s, S-3XL men’s. Reorder colors stay locked to the same dye lot per batch.
- 4XL-6X plus extension on the best-selling core tops — Q3 2026 factory project.
- Dedicated Curvy block (different waist-to-hip ratio, not size-scaled) — Q4 2026 factory project.
- Petite (27-28" inseam) and Tall (32-34" inseam) — same window.
- US 3PL — when team-order volume justifies it. Until then, 10-18 day US delivery, fully tracked.
